True story:
I quit teaching this year thanks to digital marketing.
Seriously.
I took a digital marketing course in October 2023. By December 2023, I’d been hired as the new Marketing & Communications Director for a local education-focused nonprofit. I was able to take this job with a lower salary because of what I learned and what these products are bringing in. I left teaching after 17 years in May of 2023 and have zero plans to return.
Do I miss the kids? Absolutely. Did I love teaching? 100%. Was I a good teacher? I KNOW that I am an excellent educator! I just couldn’t keep being THAT stressed and I for sure couldn’t keep bringing home that much stress to my family. I also learned to appreciate the value of my knowledge and my skills. I now have a job that is still impacting education in my district and state, but I only go into the office three days a week and have WAY less stress! The new job affords me more time for my family and space to still run my own business.
